In happier news, DA has decided to give those of us who don't approve of the share-links an opt-out, so I'll be re-posting my gallery.
I really didn't expect this change to be made, and if I'd known it was in the works, I wouldn't have deleted so many deviations. Oh, well. I'm just glad a compromise was reached. I've missed being able to share my work.
I know I've been talking to any staff that would listen reassuring them that it wasn't about art theft, and reassuring them that giving an option was all about keeping customers happy... that it was no different than the opt out for "download" (because anyone can right click without the download button)
I don't know if any of my words had any bearing on the matter though...
I've been trying to encourage folks to thank the staff for coming to the decision that they did (hell, we even got a third option that wasn't even expected, but it's greatly appreciated!) It seems we are all quick to bitch about staff when things go wrong (myself included) so why not recognize when they do good, yeah?
I'm just glad to see you back. You rock, and your gallery was missed!
As the previous commenter shows, a lot of people wanted it. It's been asked for in the past repeatedly, but recently, as in after the "World Tour," they decided to actually jump on it. Better late than never.

Thanks for the heads-up Megan! I didn't know the change had been made. Well done to all, including yourself, who made a noise about this. Unfortunately we South Africans are far too complacent.
