St. Baldrick's 2015 - bald for the best cause

I'm recovering from a 14-month Lyme relapse, and I wanted to celebrate the occasion by doing something that will make a positive difference in the world: shaving my head to raise research funds for childhood cancers.

In 6 days, the good people of my tiny town will gather for a veritable bald bonanza. In 2013 (the first year I shaved my head), we managed to raise nearly $20,000. Last year, that number almost doubled.

Since its inception, St. Baldricks has raised over $154.5 million dollars.
It's amazing what a bunch of crazy, compassionate, generous head-shaving people can do.
